Good Day
Great meeting last week with Chairperson Phyllis Randall.  Nice to hear the update on Amazon and our taxes.  It appears that the growth of our community is never ending. Affordable housing continues to be an issue.
As a wrap up, I shared the many works we have accomplished this year.  They include; school supplies in 1,200 backpacks, Polio Plus, eyesight checks, digging wells in Ghana, blood drive, Mardis Bras charitable work, sponsorship of three Interact clubs at area high schools, donation to hurricane victims in St. THOMAS, contributed to funding a Habitat for Humanity home purchase, funded the area’s largest diaper drive and toy drive with It Takes a Village Baby, Ashburn Volunteer Fire Department golf outing, corn hole tournaments for Loudoun’s First Responders, rung bells with Salvation Army, Food Drive with Loudoun Hunger Relief, coat donations made to Good Shepard Alliance and more.  You can be proud of your engagement through volunteerism.
On March 11th we need a few more volunteers for car seat safety event.  The next blood drive is on April 28th, on May 5th we have a special celebration yet to be announced and during the week of May 6th there is a fund raiser for Interact scholarships and Loudoun Hunger Relief.
More good hands on activities and fun are on the horizon.  Thanks for being an especially strong and great Rotary Club.

Ken Courter, President, Rotary Club of Ashburn, VA

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
